Response & Recovery Fund

The Fund was established to meet immediate needs and support recovery in the Hastings area in response to the impact of the COVID-19 virus.

It will provide funds for unmet needs which may be food, shelter, clothes, prescriptions, daycare, utilities, transportation, and other needs not covered by government programs or other traditional relief sources. While many valuable organizations are already meeting needs and may have fundraising initiatives in place, UWH works alongside organizations and looks to meet gaps in the needs throughout the community.

100% of gifts to the UWH Response & Recovery Fund will be used to help local community members and the Hastings community recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Simple and quick to get needed funds in organizations’ hands.

  • Organizations such as past and previous UWH Funded Partner Agencies may apply to UWH to get cash to provide direct services to those in need.
  • UWH will get funds to organizations providing the direct services and will not be providing funds to individuals.
  • UWH will review applications daily and respond to applicants as soon as possible.
