United Way’s 2-1-1 Contact Center is helping address the negative impacts of the coronavirus in our communities.
The 2-1-1 Contact Center is an information and referral resource that connects people to the essential health and human services they need.
About 2-1-1
United Way’s 2-1-1 Contact Center connects families with the community-based resources they need to thrive – resources that can put food on tables, sharpen and edit resumes, keep lights on or even provide clothes after a house fire. This help is provided so that families can keep moving forward.
More than 40,000 programs, faith-based institutions and other organizations are listed in the 2-1-1 database. In 2019, United Way 2-1-1 provided 460k referrals to services like housing and food, making it possible to address 52 urgent needs every hour.
United Way’s 2-1-1 is free, confidential and available 24 hours a day via chat. To speak with a live 2-1-1 Community Connection Specialist, dial 2-1-1 from any phone, or dial 651-291-0211.
Those who reach out to 2-1-1 are connected to trained, bilingual Community Connection Specialists who provide information on services and referrals to programs aligned with the individual’s specific needs.
